Redefining Surveying on KYTC Construction Projects
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) wants to improve its efficiency by redefining the surveying methods used on construction projects. To begin this process, the Cabinet needs to evaluate surveying processes that have been used historically and identify current data requirements and gaps. Establishing a roadmap to redefine surveying methods also requires a detailed exploration of potential data collection technologies and workflow improvements and how these fit within the context of KYTC’s processes and priorities. Potential solutions must integrate innovative methods into construction inspection and data gathering practices, while meeting KYTC staff support and training needs for their surveying responsibilities.
