Bond Performance of Post-tensioning Tendons with Corrosion Inhibitor
The objective of this research is to determine whether injection of a corrosion inhibiting liquid into grouted internal post-tensioned tendons has a detrimental effect on bond performance and flexural capacity of girders. To achieve this objective, laboratory-scale tests will be conducted on post-tensioned concrete girders, both with and without an injected corrosion inhibitor, and over a range of tendons sizes, tendon profiles, grout types, and duct types at critical sections.
