Safety and User Perceptions of Auxiliary Bike Lanes
The primary research objective is to develop additional confidence in user (bicyclist and motorist) comfort and preference in the presence of auxiliary bike lanes. Depending on the timing of the K2225 McKenzie Pass Pavement Preservation Project, this work will either guide project engineers towards the implementation of a new auxiliary bike lane concept in Oregon, or it will provide an evaluation of the implementation of a new concept.
