Analysis of Data and Development of Journal Paper - Trafficking Machine and Friction Data
This research evaluated seven commercial rock salt deicers to assess if the Trafficking Machine can detect differences in friction, and therefore performance of each deicer. Deicer performance, as mean friction values measured during trafficking and after plowing, were compared and analyzed based on collected friction data, deicer type, application rate, air temperature, and snow density.
