2316 Solving the Riddle of End Regions - and Holistically Address the Performance of PC Girder Bridges Including Design, Sustainability and Rating

The purpose and goals of this research is to develop designs and methods for PC Bridge Beams that: assure safety and strength of PC Beam Bridges, produce PC breams with end regions that are free or nearly free from cracking in end regions of PC beams, produce beams with controlled and predictable prestress losses, produce PC beams with controlled and predictable cambers, and assure the long-lived serviceability of PC beam bridges.
