Truck Platooning Impacts on Bridges, Phase II: Structural Serviceability
Phase II – Structural Serviceability will investigate potential impacts on service and fatigue limit states of common bridge types from most probable truck platoon configurations identified in Phase I. It will further investigate issues on impacts on design identified in Task 5 of Phase I. The impacts (including strength and serviceability) on most common bridge deck, i.e. reinforced concrete transverse deck slab, will be studies. The RT will perform a literature review and propose research methodologies.
