Implementing an AI Based Smart Dispatch to Provide a Dynamic Data Driven Micro-Transit Service for All Citizens in PHTs Service Area Using Existing Prairie Hill Transits Vans
Prairie Hills Transit (PHT), which serves 15 rural communities in western South Dakota, will receive funding to automate its paratransit dispatch system using AI technology. The system will collect real-time field data to replace most radio communication, allowing PHT to manage more rides with the same number of dispatchers and decrease costs.
