Bat Use of Bridges and Culverts
In this project, MoDOT would like to refine what the department already knows and learn more about bats using transportation structures such as bridges and box culverts, along with what technologies may be available to aid in inspecting structures for bats. MoDOT is also interested in learning proper techniques to temporarily keep bats off transportation structures for construction or maintenance operations. This project is intended to compile what is currently known about detection of bats on transportation structures, and how best to deter them from roosting on structures.
