Study on Spectrum Options for GDOT’s Connected Vehicle Infrastructure

The purpose of this study is to investigate the feasibility of operating the existing dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) devices in unlicensed bands, e.g., industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) bands and to analyze the technical impacts of the transition from DSRC to C-V2X in the spectrum of 5.895-5.925 GHz, compliant with the recent regulatory change by the FCC.
