TRC2106 - Applying UAS LiDAR for Developing Small Project Terrain Models

This project's overarching objective is to assess the accuracy and benefits of using Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) LiDAR to collect high-quality survey data for small area projects such as bridge replacements. The research team will coordinate with Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) to identify four bridge projects to serve as test sites. The team will collect and process LiDAR data at each site and compare it to conventional survey methods. This data will be used to develop standard practices and procedures (best methods) for data acquisition.
