Safety Performance of Rural Four-Lane Undivided Roadways and Rural Four-Lane Roadways with a Two-Way Left-Turn Lane
The objectives of this project are: (1) to examine the safety performance of existing rural four-lane undivided roadways with/without 4 feet wide flush medians and rural four-lane roadways with a two-way left-turn lane (TWLTL) in Georgia, and (2) to develop criteria to determine when a four-lane undivided with/without a 4 feet wide flush median or a four-lane roadways with a TWLTL would be suitable on a four-lane roadway based on safety considerations.
