Evaluating Wildlife Use of the South Jackson Project Highway Crossing Structures
In this project, the Principle Investigator shall gather data to assist Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) in design and construction of future wildlife crossing structures. This study will fulfill the commitment WYDOT has made within the EIS to monitor the use of crossing structures by wildlife for the South Jackson, Wyoming project. In addition, evaluation of the use of crossing structures by wildlife, as well as the factions that contribute to the use of WYDOT wildlife structures, will enable identification of optimal structure type and placement for successful use by wildlife. This information will lead to practical recommendations for future structure type and placement in similar habitats across Wyoming.
