AI-enabled fiscally constrained life-cycle asset management for infrastructure systems

This project will leverage significant advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) methodologies to improve efficient life-long management of transportation infrastructure systems. Accurate evaluation and prediction of infrastructure components performance, and determination of optimal maintenance and inspection actions for any infrastructure element throughout its lifetime, are essential parts of an effective asset management framework. The goal of this project is hence to develop an integrated AI-enabled framework, able to provide both infrastructure condition assessments and predictions, as well as direct optimal maintenance and inspection decisions/actions/policies for a given multi-component infrastructure system
