The Economic Impact of Bicycling in Arizona
The study will provide current data and an opportunity to explore the economic impact of bicycling in non-metropolitan Arizona. It will also identify areas for future research that may generate information to support the development of bicycling plans and programs. Overall, findings of the study will assist the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Bicycle and Pedestrian Program in future updates of the Comprehensive Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan and successful applications for bicycle-related grants. The data will also benefit local jurisdictions in the development of their local bicycle plans and programs, and will inform the tourism industry.
