Small Cell Installation in Transportation Infrastructure - A Literature Review

The objective of the research is to conduct a literature review on small cell deployment practiced by DOTs and cities in the United States and internationally. The literature review will be completed by utilizing online materials, peer-reviewed journal articles, and conference papers. A survey will be sent to all DOTs asking for their experience with small cell deployment. A limited phone interview will be attempted to contact state organizations and private companies who have deployed small cells in their territory. The phone interview will attempt to fill in the gap on information not available in published documents.
