Evaluation of On-Site and In-situ Treatment Alternatives for Contaminated Soils
This research will develop guidelines, specifications, and recommendations for IDOT in treating contaminated soils, in terms of the appropriate on-site remediation technology to use in light of the site characteristics, contaminants to be removed, and the end use of the decontaminated soil. This research will deliver a cost-effective and customized solution based on proven technologies and new approaches from remediation research advances.
