Dynamic Travel Time Estimation for Northeast Illinois Expressways

The research team will develop a dynamic travel time prediction algorithm for the Northeast Illinois expressways system by using the temporal-spatial traffic state, and eventually predict accurate travel times. Several alternative methods of predicting traffic state will be explored and compared to best practices from other agencies.
