Development of a Laboratory Testing Protocol to Evaluate Alternative Materials for Use in Modifying Asphalt Binders and Alternative Materials for Use in Modifying Asphalt Mixtures
The objectives of this research are (1) Determine a laboratory testing protocol to properly assess new asphalt binder additives to determine if their performance is equal to or better than FDOT's currently approved additives; and (2) Determine a laboratory testing protocol to properly assess new asphalt mixture additives to determine if their performance is equal to or better than FDOT's currently approved SBS modified (PG 76-22) mixture.
