Performance Evaluation, Material and Specification Development for Basalt Fiber Reinforced Polymer (BFRP) Reinforcing Bars Embedded in Concrete

The objective of this project is to complement existing fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) rebar specifications and to identify non-corrosive basalt fiber reinforced polymer (BFRP) rebar technologies for concrete reinforcement with suitable surface enhancements for the construction of durable and resilient infrastructure in Florida.
