Aftermarket Cameras in Winter Maintenance Vehicles
The current Clear Roads Pooled Fund project (TPF-5(218)) will be closing, and the next phase of this pooled fund will begin under this solicitation. This new Clear Roads project will maintain its focus on advancing winter highway operations nationally through practical, practice-ready research related to materials, equipment and methods. The goal of this project is to provide guidance to transportation agencies seeking to begin using, or to expand current use of, aftermarket cameras installed on winter maintenance vehicles. Clear Roads is seeking guidance in the form of a synthesis of current practices and existing data and test results as well as a compilation of lessons learned, best practices, considerations and recommendations.
