Rapid Retrofit and Strengthening of Bridge Components

The objective of this study is to (1) repair four bridges with high-performance carbon fiber materials developed at University of Kentucky; and (2) develop a guide and specifications for the use of this material. The advantage of the carbon fiber material is ease of application by a single worker and reduction in repair time, resulting in lower repair costs.
