UAS State of the Practice for Transportation

The project objective is to identify key strategies, activities, and best practices utilized by five states that are leading the nation in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) adoption. This study will utilize action research methodologies, which will include primarily qualitative research techniques – phone interviews, focus group discussions, and literature review. This study will involve broad participation from UAS stakeholders, including operators, manufacturers, UAS test sites, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and state agencies.
