Exploring the Modified Procurement Framework for Expediting Florida Connected Vehicle (CV) Deployments

The primary goal of this project is to examine implementation issues of the ongoing CV deployment projects, and provide specific guidance on future CV deployments. The specific objectives include: Examine the procedures undertaken in procurement and execution of CV deployments. Document steps taken for deploying CV projects including evaluating Request for Information documents (RFIs). Work with the FDOT traffic engineering and operations, procurement, research offices and any other stakeholders to recommend expedited procurement process. Document the specific lessons learned and best practices in adopting the alternative project development, procurement and budgeting options. Provide specific recommendations to expedite CV project delivery.
