SPR-4222: Seismic Evaluation of Indiana Bridge Network and Current Bridge Database for Asset Management
The goal of this project is to evaluate the suitability of the current asset management database for performing seismic vulnerability assessment and recommend, as appropriate, any needed improvements to conduct a more robust risk-based assessment. A two-level seismic evaluation is proposed: (i) A first level screening of the bridges in the state using data already available in the asset management database; followed by (ii) A detailed evaluation of selected representative bridges. Gaps in the information that effect the ability to perform appropriate seismic vulnerability assessment will be identified. Based on the results of the two level evaluation, general retrofit strategies will also be presented.
