SPR-4157: Quality Assurance Procedures for Chip Seal Operations Using Macrotexture Metrics
Successful chip seal relies to a great extent on the qualities of asphalt emulsion binder and aggregate, proper application rate, and construction. The proposed study aims at exploring new field tests that allow INDOT maintenance crews to implement quality assurance over chip seal jobs effectively and rapidly with respect to surface macrotexture measurement at highway speed.
