SPR-4107: Subgrade Stabilization Alternatives

Subgrade stabilization in the INDOT current standard specification is limited to the selection of materials type rather than strength and properties of the treated soil. With the adoption of the Mechanistic Empirical Design Guide, it is possible to consider in the input parameters the actual properties of the stabilized soil subgrade. The research addresses this issue by exploring the engineering properties of subgrade stabilization alternatives, so pavement engineers can design the pavement structure accordingly.
