Assessing Public Satisfaction with ITD Communication Tools, Technological Applications and Approaches

Communication is a part of Idaho Transportation Department's (ITD's) strategic goals of safety, mobility and economic opportunity and is central to determining the effectiveness of ITD services. This project will assess customer satisfaction with ITD communication and will identify areas where communication efforts are either meeting or falling below expected standards. The assessment will be accomplished through a survey which will then be compared to the 2009 and 2011 customer surveys to measure the changes in communication satisfaction. The project will then identify communication tools and tecnological application and approaches that will best meet the general publics communication expectations, needs and preferences. When implemented this project will provide information on the public's communications preferences that can be used to strengthen department communications on both a statewide and district basis.
