Florida Statewide Transit Technical Assistance and Training Program

The Florida Statewide Transit Technical Assistance and Training Program was initially designed to provide training and technical assistance to Florida’s transit professionals and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) district offices. The goal of the program is to ensure the highest level of productivity among transit professionals; promote and encourage management and operational efficiencies; promote and ensure safety and security at Florida’s transit properties; and ensure the provision of more cost-effective transit services. This goal will be accomplished through a concentrated, expanded focus on the provision of technical assistance to the FDOT district offices of modal development and associated FDOT staff, and Florida’s public transportation agencies. Specifically, technical assistance and requisite training will be conducted to ensure the consistent performance of state and federal transit program requirements and guidelines in accordance with FDOT’s State Management Plan and in cooperation the Department’s Compliance Monitoring Program. In addition, Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) personnel will support the FDOT/Florida Developmental Disabilities Council (FDDC) Voucher Pilot Program, as directed by the FDOT Project Manager. The purpose of this Scope of Work (SOW) is to define the tasks required of a contractor to support the Statewide Technical Assistance and Training
