Transportation Research Synthesis: Partnerships for Promoting Pollinator Habitat
A state-of-practice inquiry has been requested into state Department of Transportation (DOT) experiences in outsourcing maintenance of native plants on highway right of way to stakeholder groups, such as private organizations (in a manner reminiscent of the Adopt-a-Highway or Landscape Partnership program) and local or county governments. The Transportation Research Synthesis will include any agency in the United States that can be identified as having developed these kinds of partnerships, with a focus on identifying the most promising handful of candidates and inquiring further into the details of their experiences and arrangements.
