Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Bridge Inspection and 3d Image Reconstruction – Phase 1

This project will assess the current state of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) bridge inspection, identify challenges and shortcomings then propose and/or develop solutions. Protocol for UAV image collection will be defined. Safe navigation will be proven in a controlled environment. Bridge inspection will be used with defined protocols and will be compared to human inspection. Implementation of UAV bridge inspection will be recommended based on findings.
