Field Test of a New Mobile System for the Collection of Crash and Citation Data in Nevada

The objective of this study is to field test a complete system for the collection of crash and citation data. The study involves police officers with significant experience using the existing enterprise technology for data collection of this type in Nevada. This study will address any comments provided by police officers during various meetings that will be used to make plans and schedule the field test. Those comments are expected to benefit the system developed by University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) so as to produce a mature product for use in the field by the officers as well as an example for the upgrade of current technology deployed in Nevada. This new system is expected to facilitate the collection of data, save time, reduce errors, and enable the collection of more valuable information.
