Establishing Procedures and Guidelines for Pedestrian Treatments at Uncontrolled Intersections
This project is aimed to develop guidelines for pedestrian treatments at midblock and uncontrolled locations that is relevant to Illinois and can be used by Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and local agencies. The guidelines will incorporate the results from a comprehensive literature review, interview/survey IDOT and local agencies, pedestrian crash data analysis, field review of high crash locations (HCLs), and the identification of best practices of pedestrian treatment deployment.
