Curve Identification for High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) Installation Recommendation

The goal of this project is to provide an effective means for obtaining curve information, and the objective of this study is to develop and deploy a curve identification application based on the existing algorithms to automatically extract curve information, including curve radius, point of curve (PC), and point of tangency (PT) of every curve, along a corridor using the global positioning system (GPS) data and geographic information system (GIS) data that are widely available for transportation agencies.
