Effect of Traffic Roundabout on Safety in Arizona
The main objective of this research project is to evaluate the effect of using roundabouts on crash rate and severity in cities and counties in Arizona. Other objectives include evaluating the proper use of these roundabouts at these locations and developing recommendations for improving future use of roundabouts in Arizona. It includes the following tasks: (1) Review of Literature and Arizona Practice on Roundabouts; (2) Analyze Accident Records Before and After Roundabouts in Arizona; (3) Conclusions on Roundabout on Safety and Recommendations for Improvement; and (4) Final Report.
