Innovative Travel Data Collection-Planning for the Next Two Decades
In the thirty-two years since the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) forum was established, technology has advanced in staggering bounds. Research seems to be no longer limited to breadth and depth - the ability to provided meaningful evidence based answers to the most basic questions about the constantly moving society is greater than it has ever been. New methods of data collection and analysis are transforming the ability to examine travel decisions and provide researchers with new vectors for analytic investigation.
