Performance Evaluation for Various Preservation Treatments
The purpose of this project is a long-term pavement monitoring effort over several years to observe the performance of several newly applied surface treatments, including open graded surface course (OGSC), bonded wearing courses, stone matrix asphalt (SMA), and Dense Graded courses. The project will confirm the differences between the treatments in a real-world setting in Utah, including benefit/cost. Based on the findings, the project will develop guidelines for use of these various treatments on Utah state highways.
