Advanced Technologies for Biodiesel Production
This research project will use batch (conventional solvent extraction) and continuous microwave technology to extract oil from traditional (soybeans) and alternative (rice bran, Chinese tallow tree seeds) feedstocks to convert oils into biodiesel and determine the technological feasibility and economic viability of process. The quality of oil will also be studied.
