Updating and Improving Methodology for Prioritizing Highway Projects on the Strategic Intermodal System (SIS)

The objectives of this project are to research and update: (1) the existing performance measures to better reflect the current conditions and strategic goals of the Florida Department of Transportation; (2) the input data for safety-related performance measures that are consistent with the Highway Safety Manual (HSM) methodology; (3) the current ranking methodology, including the weighting strategy and the method of prioritization; and (4) the CMP system to incorporate the updated project prioritization process and improve the current Geographic Information System (GIS) capabilities of the system.
