Develop Macroscopic Fuel Consumption and CO2 Emission Models

This project is an addition to the mesoscopic modeling project that will be conducted simultaneously. Specifically, this effort will utilize the mesoscopic models to develop macroscopic models that estimate vehicle fuel consumption levels within a transportation planning environment. The input to the model will include the average roadway speed similar to the MOBILE6 model. The team will consider implementing the model in a transportation planning software and testing the procedure against the use of a microscopic analysis.
