Empirical Deck for Phased Construction and Widening

The objectives of this research are to (1) Evaluate the soundness of using the empirical design method for design of bridge deck slabs, and its implications for potential future widening or phased construction and associated traffic control impact; (2) Develop recommendations for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for bridge deck design.
