Service Life of Corrosion-Damaged Reinforced Concrete Bridge Superstructure Elements

The objective of the project is to develop a manual, for consideration and adoption by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), that provides step-by-step procedures for (1) assessing the condition of reinforced concrete bridge superstructure elements subjected to corrosion-induced deterioration, (2) predicting the remaining service life of such elements, and (3) quantifying the service life extension for such elements expected from alternative maintenance and repair options.
