Comparative Nitrogen and Pesticide Removal with Sorption Media In Linear Ditch for Groundwater and Stormwater Treatment

In partnering with Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD), the study objectives of this project are to: (1) support the development of a linear ditch treatment BMP to treat groundwater in non-storm period and stormwater in storm events, (2) compare two BAM recipes for effectiveness assessment of nitrogen and pesticide removal to evaluate the benefit and cost of both BAM recipes. Linear ditch will be planned and designed by a consulting firm (URS/AECOM) which will be working closely with University of Central Florida (UCF) researchers.
