SCDOT Asset Collection

The objectives of this research are to: (1) identify state-of-practice for asset data collection and maintenance at the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and prioritize data improvements; (2) determine the most accurate and cost effective means of collecting asset data for SCDOT; and (3) provide specifications for database and related data collection methods and/or technologies to respond to Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) and SCDOT requirements.
