Development of a Test Method for Assessing the Performance of Vehicular Traffic Signal Assemblies during Hurricane Force Winds

The extensive vehicular traffic signal damage during the 2004-2005 hurricane seasons has compelled Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to investigate new methods to improve vehicular traffic signal assembly survivability during hurricane force winds up to 150 miles per hour (MPH).
