The Effects of Recycling Agents on Asphalt Mixtures with High RAS and RAP Binder Ratios

The objectives of this research are to (1) evaluate the effectiveness of recycling agents in hot mix asphalt (HMA) and warm mix asphalt (WMA) mixtures with high recycled asphalt shingles (RAS), reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP), or combined RAS/RAP binder ratios through a coordinated program of laboratory and field experiments; (2) propose revisions to several relevant American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) specifications and test methods; and (3) develop training and workshop materials and deliver one workshop.
