The main deliverables of this project will be recommendations and guidelines for the future use of intelligent compaction (IC) as a quality control/quality assurance (QC/QA) tool for soil embankment construction. Analysis aims to establish a correlation between IC and DCP data, along with improved understanding of risks and rewards for both agency and the contractor and recommended procedures for implementation of an IC specification.
