Utilization of LiDAR for QC/QA of Pavement Grades on Resurfacing Projects

Identify the applicability of utilizing Mobile Light Detecting and Ranging (LiDAR) technology to assist in evaluating pavement grades that may need to be adjusted prior to resurfacing. It will also allow the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to identify areas along a resurfacing project that may need more attention than the traditional resurfacing of the existing conditions. The ability to characterize these properties has immeasurable benefits to the safety of Kentucky's roadways.
