Pavement Load Rating

This project will develop methods to determine allowable truck loadings on various types of roadway facilities. The objectives of the study are as follows: (1) Identify information necessary to determine allowable truck loadings by facility type and truck load group, including pavement thickness and roadway geometry. (2) Identify available sources already available within the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet or from actual field visits to selected roadway types. (3) Develop streamlined methodology to determine applicable truck loadings for a given facility, this would include two to four test routes.
