SPR-3907: Simplified Construction Scheduling for Field Personnel
The objective of this study to explore project scheduling methods/tools that are simple to use and friendly to the construction personnel in the field. The specific deliverables from this research include: (1) a comparison chart documenting the pros and cons of the current planning and scheduling methods and corresponding software packages used by Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and other departments of transportation (DOTs). (2) a guideline incorporating best practices and implementation according to the results of the synthesis study in order to enhance/simplify both the bar chart and CPM schedule guidelines currently used by INDOT.
