Feasibility of Using Clear-Span Arches for Short-Span Bridges
The objective of this research project is too conduct an independent economic study comparing costs and design feasibility of clear-span concrete or steel arches as compared to multiple opening drainage structures and small scale reinforced concrete bridges with cast in-place slab spans and to develop a design criteria for possible standards, considering the expected serviceability, the availability of material, and site conditions.
